Bet your wondering where that name came from. It’s a weird one, but it’s the one that kept coming back to me after “Stephanie Designs” had about zero ring to it.
Also, some really great companies have really weird names that have zip to do with the products that they sell (I’m looking at you LuLu Lemon!) or the things they talk about.
Lucy is actually my dog’s name.
Lucy is half Bichon Frise and half ShiTzu and when she was a puppy her fur was so dang fluff like a little chick and so we started calling her Bird.
Add a “The” in front of it and in my opinion you have a really solid business name.
So here we are…The Lucy Bird.
The Lucy Bird is meant to be a place where creativity and community can thrive. A place to explore sewing, textiles, woodworking, memory-keeping, writing, painting, or heck, even just acquainting with other like-minded people.
Oh, and you’ll also hear about my dogs.
Yes, there’s another one. The baby.
Her name is Dottie and she came into our family AFTER I had purchased my url name and logo. She is also a bichon/shitzu mix and she is the spunkiest, cutest and most adorable little pup. She didn’t get the business named after her, but I compensate her with treats so she doesn’t need to go to therapy.
