There are only a few days left until Christmas and I couldn’t have crafted a more joyous lead up to the holiday even if I had wanted to!
I have so enjoyed sharing my craft room and DIYs with you over the past month. I hope you found a little inspiration and I hope my projects (even the ones that didn’t completely turn out) inspired you to deck your own halls festively!
My lead up to Christmas took a little bit of a different path after I posted a few pictures of some standing gnomes I made for my craft space! I posted them on my personal Facebook page and my friends went wild for them, which resulted in a few orders.
A few orders turned into a few more orders, and soon my weekends and free evenings were a gnome workshop (like a Santa’s workshop, but with red wine and chick flicks from the 90s and early 2000s).
The good ol’ post office took these far and wide…Hawaii, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Massachusetts, South Dakota, Minnesota, Colorado, Nebraska, Kentucky…there might be more.
I can’t remember where all of the gnomes went! It was definitely the shoes that gave these guys some great personality!
Your and my mutual love for gnomes made me realize that I will need to bring these babies back on more occasions, because we both know a Nordic gnome isn’t just for Christmas!
Raise your hand if you’re already thinking Valentine’s Day!
If these guys could raise their hands, they would!
They’re just actual casual about it.
My Christmas break to-do list includes writing a pattern for my original shoe-sporting standing gnome! Check back soon for information on a pattern and full video tutorial!
In the meantime, I truly truly wish you and yours a safe, happy and healthy Christmas! May the joy and spirit of the season be with you as you celebrate!
Much love,
Steph
